Plants and fungi show us that flourishing rarely happens in isolation.
Herbalism invites us to look at the whole picture and ask what relationships, plants, and practices might actually support where you are now.

My Approach
Where My Work
takes root
My approach to herbalism sits at the intersection of ethnobotany, contemporary plant science, traditional knowledge, and direct relationship with the living world.
I care about understanding what a plant contains and how it interacts with the body—but also where it comes from, how it has traditionally been used, how it was sourced, and what it means to build an intentional relationship with it. Plants and fungi exist in relationship—with one another, their environments, and the larger ecosystems they belong to. Our own nourishment is no different.
The goal isn't simply to find the “right” herb. It's to develop a practice you understand, trust, and can realistically tend.
Building a practice
starts with four things

Study
constituents, uses, interactions, research

Listen
your goals, spirit, capacity, intuition

Relate
ritual, lineage, sourcing, seasonality

Practice
integrating knowledge into everyday life

THYME/SPACE
Apothecary
Alchemized Plant Allies, Rooted in Sacred Intention
I hand-craft medicine for those who seek more than wellness alone — those who seek ritual, connection, and purpose in every mist, tincture, and wand. I source and harvest botanicals ethically (wild and cultivated), and blend them with respect and intention.
Whether you’re cleansing your space, steeping a tea, drawing energy, or honoring spirit, my hope is that each piece becomes a bridge between the seen & unseen, the mundane & the sacred.
Tea blends are made by request, guided by your intention and the plants that feel best suited to support it. Reach out to begin.
"Simone's anti-inflammatory tea is my favorite. I love it so much I gifted a tin to all my friends and family for Christmas."

Microdosing & Intentional Practice
Everyday allies, kept sacred
Working with less can sometimes invite us to pay closer attention. I've supported people exploring microdosing as part of a broader intentional practice—considering goals, rhythms, journaling, nourishment, ritual, rest, and how to notice what is actually changing over time.
Other Intentions we might work with
Maybe something here feels familiar...

Nervous System + Emotional Regulation
Feeling chronically activated, depleted, emotionally porous, or noticing that stress is showing up physically in your body.

Digestion + Gut Support
Feeling bloated or uncomfortable after eating, struggling with regularity, or wanting to better understand how foods and herbs affect your digestion.

Energy + Sustainable Stimulation
Relying on caffeine to get through the day, experiencing energy crashes, or looking for more sustainable ways to support focus and vitality.

Ceremonial Nourishment
Preparing for or integrating a ceremony, navigating a restricted dieta, or wanting food, herbs, and everyday practices to support the experience more intentionally.

Rest + Sleep
Having trouble winding down, feeling tired but wired, or wanting to create an evening rhythm that better supports rest and restoration.

Study & Experience
A practice rooted in
many ways of knowing
My practice has been shaped by the study of ethnobotany, herbalism, ceremonial plant traditions, culinary arts, and embodied practices. Together, these disciplines have taught me to understand plants through multiple lenses—from their constituents and interactions with the body to their cultural histories, preparation, ritual use, and relationship with the living world.

While I do research the science behind herbalism....
Plant knowledge did not begin in laboratories.
Generations of healers, midwives, herbalists, elders, medicine people, and everyday caretakers developed sophisticated relationships with the plants around them through observation, experience, intuition, and stewardship.
Contemporary science gives us another powerful lens. My practice values both—while staying attentive to where knowledge comes from, who has carried it, and how we participate with humility and reciprocity.

Stewardship Bridge
Our relationship with plants
includes how we
protect them
Plants are part of my everyday life. I grow herbs and flowers on my fire escape and in my backyard, keep an ever-growing home apothecary, cook constantly, seek out seasonal food, and spend as much time as I can learning from the landscapes around me and across the world. For me, knowing plants also means stewarding them—paying attention to where they come from, how they're harvested, whose knowledge we're benefiting from, and whether these relationships can continue for generations to come.
