If you’re a femme-identifying person seeking a sacred space to feel fully, express honestly, and transmute what you’ve been carrying into fuel for your fire— Temple of the Burning Heart was made for you.
Through ritual, earth-based healing, and sacred plant medicine, you’ll remember: your darkest emotions aren’t your weakness—
they’re your wisdom.

It is Go Time for the world. The Earth herself is calling us forward to live authentically and in wholeness.

Who you truly are is Needed!

No one is coming to save us.
But, we never came here to be saved by another.

We came here, to a world of seeming darkness, to proclaim as fully as possible:

I Am The Light.

Rage does not separate us from the light.

In fact, what we call, Darkness, is simply a trick of the light, beckoning us to know it more intimately; beckoning us to realize that nothing can snuff out our light, our peace, our joy, our love. It beckons us to go deep and Become.

I The Invitation & Commitment

This isn’t a getaway. It’s a return to your fire.

This is not a quick escape or a fix-it retreat.

Temple of the Burning Heart is a sacred, structured space for femme-identifying beings who are ready to do the work. This is for those committed to their growth, willing to face what’s been hidden, and brave enough to let their emotions become allies, not enemies.

We’ll journey together through the tender, triggering, and transformative landscape of sacred rage—held by skilled facilitators, grounded practices, and a circle of devoted witnesses.

We are here to offer tools, rituals, and a held container, but ultimately, you are the sovereign of your own transformation — real change happens through you own action and responsibility. The outcomes we arrive at is a shared process, your participation is the driving force.

II The Experience & Modalities

You’ll be guided through ritual, release, and remembrance.

This retreat weaves together ceremony, embodiment, and earth-based healing to help you build a new relationship with your emotions—not to get rid of them, but to honor them as sacred signals.

Ceremonial mushroom journey in a heart-centered,

trauma-informed container

Sober ceremony of stillness, prayer, and inner listening

Breathwork and meditation practices for nervous system regulation

Somatic movement + ecstatic dance for emotional release

Sacred cacao ceremony to open the heart

Herbalist guidance on balancing intense emotions

Rage & grief rituals, including a howling ceremony and communal fire

Nourishing meals, rest, and time to reconnect to the land

Woman with ethereal veil

III The Integration & Afterglow

Take home more than memories.

You’ll leave with grounded tools for emotional processing, nervous system care, and spiritual integration—practices you can carry into your everyday life.

This is a space to feel, to be witnessed, and to remember: your rage is not a disruption—it’s your wisdom, your voice, and your power rising.

A Sacred & Skillful Container

This retreat isn’t just about release—it’s about reverence. Sacred rage is powerful, yes—but it must be held with clear structure, loving intention, and deep integrity.

This isn’t chaos. This is ceremony.

And we take the responsibility of holding that container seriously.

IMG_20210220_093541_660.jpg

Every aspect of this retreat is being carefully curated—from the sequence of offerings to the energy of the space, from the food and movement to the moments of silence. We don’t just hold space—we tend it.

Before the retreat, all participants will complete a pre-retreat questionnaire and receive of a brief check-in call from one of the facilitators. This helps us understand where you are in your journey, what you’re holding, and how we can best support you. It also helps us begin to build trust—so you arrive already feeling seen.

Because yes: rage is triggering.

And yes: this is a space where big feelings are welcome.

But we are not leaving anyone alone in the fire.

This is a carefully held, trauma-informed, spirit-centered space for transformation. You will be prepared. You will be supported. And you will be part of a circle that has been intentionally gathered, so that every womxn arrives
feeling like she belongs.

Franklin, NY

A hidden gem nestled in the western Catskills

Franklin offers a slower, more sacred pace of life. With rolling hills, winding backroads, and skies that seem to stretch forever, it’s a place where the noise of the world finally fades and the deeper rhythms of the earth return to center.

Located just 3.5 hours from New York City, it’s a small journey to a big reset.

AestivalDrone_10 (1)-min.jpg

Our Venue: Franklin Chthonics

Franklin Chthonics isn’t a retreat center—it’s a living, working homestead and land-based initiative stewarded by dear friends. It’s a place where food is grown, medicine is harvested, traditions are remembered, and regenerative practices are part of daily life.

Situated on 500 acres of forest, field, and wetland in the western Catskills, this land isn’t just a backdrop—it’s a teacher, a mirror, and a collaborator. It’s been shaped by care, creativity, and kinship across generations.

And for this weekend, it becomes our home too.

Here, you’ll find a sacred spruce grove, a willow-shaded pond that reflects the sky like a portal, and a labyrinth of goldenrod that invites contemplation with every step.

There are frogs singing lullabies, mushrooms growing in secret places, and deer that slip quietly through the trees. The land itself becomes a co-facilitator, reminding you how to listen, slow down, and be.

Franklin Chthonics is more than a venue—it’s a chthonic temple of care, rooted in values of stewardship, reciprocity, and regeneration.

Everything here—from the firewood to the footpaths—is shaped with reverence. There are no fluorescent lights, no schedules, no rush. Just space. Just wild beauty—and lot's of stars!

Your Accommodations

The Field House

Built in 2024, the Field House is a bright, beautifully designed home nestled in the heart of the land. With six spacious bedrooms and four full bathrooms—including a luxurious steam shower—it offers comfort, style, and ease in every detail.

This isn’t your typical creaky cabin in the woods. It’s modern, clean, and thoughtfully appointed—with strong showers, reliable hot water, super comfy beds, and tons of natural light. There are two open-concept living areas perfect for gathering, journaling, or simply gazing out at the expansive views over the hills and fields.

There’s plenty of room to stretch out, find quiet, and feel held—whether you're sharing tea at the table, curling up with a book, or stepping outside to watch the stars.

Let this respite be your home away from home where you can truly reset!

There’s no cooking required on your end—but you're absolutely welcome to bring your own snacks or special items. We’ll have tea, coffee, and kitchen space for you to store a few personal favorites.

Meals will be prepared by Simone, aka The Kitchen Witch—a chef and space-holder who sees food as a healing art and a form of care. (More on that below), and our friends in the Franklin Chthonics Kitchen.

Retreat Benefits

By the end of this retreat, you will have come home to a deeper, more honest version of yourself, who can now access your full power to fuel all areas of life. You’ll leave with real tools to process difficult feelings, regulate your nervous system, and stand in your sacred fire. You’ll remember that your emotions are not liabilities—they are sacred signals. This is the moment you stop holding it all in and start becoming the version of you that’s ready to rise.

The Ones Holding the Flame

Meet the women tending the space—offering nourishment, medicine, and steady hands to hold you through this transformational weekend.

Simone

Thyme/Space

Simone (aka Thyme/Space) is a chef, space-holder, musician, dancer, and earth-tender devoted to creating experiences that reconnect us to the intelligence of nature, sound, and the wisdom of our bodies. Her work lives at the intersection of ritual, nourishment, and healing — blending sacred plant teachings, herbalism, music, and nervous system science to help people move through emotion and return to the inner temple of truth, power, and presence. Simone’s background includes many years of study in herbal medicine and ethnobotany through the Gaia School of Healing & Earth Education, and an apprenticeship in plant medicine ceremony and esoteric studies at the Plant Medicine Mystery School. She walks an ongoing devotional path with medicine elders — learning altar traditions, prayer, and song to access love's powerful medicine, and weave it into each breath of life. Simone also brings over a decade of experience in the service industry and creative event production — hosting immersive pop-up dinners, sound meditations, and community rituals through her platform, Thyme/Space. She believes that food is a portal, and that every gathering is a ceremony — a moment to remember who we are and what we carry. As a musician and movement guide, Simone creates ambient dronescapes for meditation and techno-infused beats for dance meditation and qi gong — blending sonic textures that awaken the body’s natural intelligence. Her work with movement isn’t just about release, but integration. Dance, she believes, is one of our oldest healing tools — a sacred act of emotional transmutation and embodiment. At this retreat, Simone will serve as Earth Mother — tending the kitchen as a sanctuary, preparing deeply nourishing meals with plant allies to support your body’s transformation. She’ll also lead an herbal tea ceremony and a heart-opening cacao circle — weaving music, movement, and medicine into every shared moment… and she’ll probably get you up and dancing too!

Amanda

Elemental

Amanda Elemental is a seer, somatic channel, and systems architect who supports people as they rebuild the inner structures that shape their lives. She works with the nervous system, the energetic field, and the deeper patterns formed in moments of protection, overwhelm, and survival. Amanda tracks how a person’s inner architecture formed, where it fractured, and what needs to shift for them to return to the blueprint of who they were always meant to be before their body had to adapt to trauma, conditioning, and the demands of staying safe. Her path carried her from corporate culture into a profound spiritual awakening that opened her intuition, mediumship, and sensitivity. She has been a DJ for years, and her relationship with sound became a form of frequency medicine, using rhythm, presence, and movement to help the body regulate, release, and reconnect. Through nervous system tending, somatic listening, energetic clearing, and intuitive guidance, Amanda supports seekers, sensitives, and cycle-breakers as they move through awakening, reclamation, and identity reconstruction. Her signature container, Reclamation, guides clients through releasing old systems, regulating new ones, and building a self capable of holding clarity, intuition, and purpose. Her medicine is truth, presence, and frequency. She meets people where they are and helps them grow into who they were always meant to be, rebuilding from a place of sovereignty, safety, and embodied remembrance. Rage quote: In terms of rage, Amanda sees it as neither a problem to fix nor an emotion to avoid. Rage is the body speaking in its clearest voice, signalling that a boundary has been crossed or that something can no longer be carried. When we honour it and meet it with presence, rage transforms. It becomes momentum. It becomes the force that moves us toward action, truth, and liberation instead of collapse.

Mara

Lee Gilbert

Mara Lee Gilbert is a Transformational Intimacy Coach, sacred space holder, actor, and is currently training as a Death Doula. She works with the wisdom of the mushroom and the Earth, listening deeply to Pachamama, the body, and the spaces in between. Her particular gift is to channel energetic frequencies into sound; ancient frequencies that are connected to the formation of the Earth and her evolution. She also channels the energetic frequencies present within those she is working with, for optimal clarity and assisting with the evolution of consciousness. She was born with this gift and has honed it over the course of her personal and professional life. Mara holds a Master’s in Forensic Psychology, is trauma-informed, and brings 12 years of experience supporting teens and adults in lockdown facilities. She also has over a decade of experience with plant medicine and continues to study with her teachers. As a storyteller and Master Observer, she walks between light and shadow, holding the fire of transmutation. Her work invites us into the wild and holy truth: There is no taboo. Regarding Rage, Mara says: We are all learning how to transcend notions of Hell and Darkness. We are learning how to walk into rooms we perceive as full of hatred, and activate the love that is present. It's all a remembrance. Our Rage is the activation point. The light of peace is what it looks like to have recognized our own ability to destroy, and to have loved anyway.
